a Winnebago-Mercedes Motor Coach..only $200 a day*!
The coach is rented for a minimum of three days, for between $$200 and $275 per day, depending on season, and we can assist with airport arrivals and departures from Portland International ($75,) Seattle ($275,) San Francisco or Sacramento. We are also able to preposition the coach at various national parks or entertainment events if you wish.
This modern coach offers all the driving conveniences and living comforts you'd expect in your favorite bed & breakfast escape...plus you can see America! The Winnebago View is easy to drive and a dream to travel down the freeway or country road in style. It features the Mercedes automatic transmission, electronically controlled turbo diesel, cruise control, power brakes and much more, and has earned the ranking of America's Number 1 Diesel Class C Motor Home. We have added solar panels and specialty shocks and an anti-sway bar for greater convenience and comfort.
Our Winnebago View is and has always been free of smoking and pets because of family health concerns. We must invite folks who smoke or who have pets to enjoy another coach from another owner as they'll take great care of your needs...however we cannot and we do not rent our coach to smokers. We love children, and if you feel yours will be comfortable in the Winnebago View and you'll be responsible for them and any damages, use your own good judgment. We have taken no steps to child-proof the Winnebago View and we recommend no children travel in it.
Driving the View is a dream! Easy-to-reach controls, electronic 5-speed transmission, cruise control, color GPS, satellite traffic advisory system. Could seeing America be any easier, more luxurious or more interesting? The View has made news with its superb fuel economy, making it the highest mileage Class C or Class A coach in America. Here’s a motor home you can afford drive and see America! Its as easy to drive as a car (just remember it is about ten feet longer with a rear view television instead of a rear mirror) and it is so much more comfortable than a car !
Want new and exciting scenery...the stuff movies are made of? Just point the coach and enjoy the view. Rugged mountains, desert, the grasslands of Western America, alpine meadows at Mount Saint Helens and Mount Hood, the nearby Indian reservations and casinos, and probably the best of all, thousands of miles of Oregon and Washington sea coast. The Columbia River Gorge is one of the most beautiful scenic drives in the country, and is only 17 miles away. So much of what makes America beautiful is found right here in the Pacific Northwest. The View, which is so nimble, makes driving the twisting coastal highways a dream!
The quiet propane generator, approved by the National Park Service, delivers reliable electrical power whenever needed in case you're not connected to shore power. You can start the generator from inside or outside the coach, and there are exterior outlets to power whatever electrical items you have brought. A large fuel tank means you'll cruise nearly five hundred miles before needing your next sip of diesel. And a 38 gallon fresh water tank provides hot showers for everyone.
The rear bedroom has a double bed on a miracle foam mattress, with color-coordinated covers and window treatments. Huge windows invite in the beautiful scenery yet protect your privacy. Lots of storage. We
provide a small multi-function printer, just in case you have a couple copies to make, get a little work done or even print a few photographs. You have a small television, clock radio, interesting books to read, indoor/outdoor weather station, closet and drawer space, plenty of bright lighting, and a door which separates the room from the bathroom/shower compartment.
Here's two front seats, swiveled to face the rear and form a conversation group. Great TV viewing also for all occupants. The fold-down dinette forms yet another bed!
Your rental can include quality linens, blankets, pillows...everything you need to be comfy. The modern bath offers you total privacy, with a full door separating the shower and commode from the living space. A ventilation fan keeps the View fresh. The shower is compact and comfortable, but it is fair to call it snug.
What are your savings by renting our motor home? We've been asked about the economy of renting a motor home, because it often means greater convenience, greater comfort and greater savings! Obviously, you have your "hotel" with you and you save the cost of local plane tickets plus one or two room rentals each night you travel, but you should also consider that you can visit in places where there simply are no hotels available! For instance, the Navajo Nation invites visitors to use their campground at Monument Valley, famous for its stunning sunrise and sunset photo opportunities. No hotels here at one of the most remove places in America! Visitors from around the world love Arches National Park near Moab, Utah but the remote arches are more than an hour's drive from the nearest hotels...yet you can camp
right next to an arch at the park's campground and enjoy the park ranger's sunset talk. Across America there are beautiful vistas offered only to travelers like you in our Winnebago View. Other economies come from preparing your own great snacks and meals in the Winnebago View kitchen, and you obviously are freed from a car rental because the Winnebago View takes you everywhere in style and luxurious comfort. And you'll certainly appreciate the convenience of taking rest stops and having all the comforts of home with you. Once you've placed your clothes away, you won't have to pack and unpack again until you...no "bag drag" as frequent travelers call it. And there's more room in this luxury motor home than you'll find in all but the largest hotel suites...you'll be much more comfortable!
Our European visitors are amazed at fuel costing about a third of what it does back home. The Euro's rate against the US dollar also provides solid travel savings, with a historic advantage for visitors to America. This is the time to see thousands of miles of the West Coast of the United States!
Unlike the rental agencies' RVs, the Winnebago View is a high-end, quality coach. It has a powerful yet more economical turbo diesel engine, while most commercial rentals are only gasoline...you'll enjoy the quieter ride plus greater power and economy of this Mercedes-powered motor home. All generators can be heard, but the View’s Onan Quiet Propane generator is National Park Service approved for it low level of noise. Our coach includes a small DVD collection, fine music CDs, good tea, our best local coffee brand, quality linens and much more. We've brought a small set of mapping software and interesting guide books for you. There is a compact multi-function printer in case you need to get a little work done, make some copies or
just print a couple photos. You’ll be provided with a special set of comfortable, roomy “travasacks” for both of the View’s beds, with full sheets. Because of the View’s special shapes, we have found them much, much more comfortable. Made by a California linens specialty firm, they combine a quality comforter and the sheets.
We will make your visit much more like a stay in a favorite bed & breakfast, as opposed to the cramped "economy motel" feel of the commercial RV rental agencies or car travel and motels. We travel in our Winnebago View about two to three months of the year, but when you're visiting, we simply remove our personal items. We then have the cleaners go over the coach, hand you the keys after your orientation, give you a cup of hot coffee and a map to your next adventure on America's highways. No off-road travel is allowed, nor is travel to Canada or Mexico. The Winnebago View should be returned with the interior about as clean as when it left, and the exterior free of mud and other debris, weather permitting. We don't expect you to "detail" the coach as your visit concludes, just take good care of it as we would. Diesel fuel and propane must be refilled within ten miles of the rental location. Dishes should be washed and put away, but please leave the linens for us to take care of for you. No off-road use or extreme winter camping. You'll need to discuss with us any summer travel in the Death Valley area. There is a carpet runner to protect the front living area, but most RVers simply take off their shoes and we ask that you do so also. Insurance: Almost always your car insurance carrier can provide a binder to cover your use of the View...and almost always that is at no cost to either of us. We need coverage for the value of the vehicle, uninsured motorist, a million in liability, and $500 deductible.
Here in Portland, we hope you'll fit in a visit to our world-famous Spruce Goose Museum before you leave, as well as the many attractions along the Columbia River Gorge. What a wonderful country and the Winnebago View is your best way to visit it. See you in Portland...pick you up at the airport?? Happy trails, y'all!
